| Q: | What are the most common mistakes you see performers make in auditions? | | A: | NOT BEING FULLY PREPARED WITH THE RIGHT MUSIC, KEY AND PERFORMANCE. BE SURE TO DO AN OLD SONG YOU KNOW WELL, DON'T LEARN SOMETHING FOR THAT PARTICULAR AUDITION UNLESS YOU ARE ASKED TO, AND RUN IT WITH SOMEONE TO MAKE SURE THE KEY IS STILL GOOD FOR YOUR VOICE. |
| Q: | As a musical director, what is more interesting/exciting to you, polish or potential? | | A: | POTENTIAL |
 | | Paul Gemignani - Curtain Call: A Little Night Music |
| Q: | In an audition, do you prefer hearing a singer bring something new to an old song or would you rather they stay true to the original style? | | A: | I WANT TO SEE THEM. I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT THEY SING AS LONG AS IT IS SOMETHING THEY LOVE TO SING. |
| Q: | What advice would you give to dancers in a vocal audition who don't consider singing to be their strength? | | A: | HAVE SOMETHING THAT SHOWS OFF YOU VOCAL "AND" ACTING ABILITIES. DON'T BE A HERO. SING SOMETHING YOU ARE ABLE TO NAIL. THERE ARE PLENTY OF CHOICES OUT THERE. |
| Q: | What is one thing you know now that you wish you'd known at the beginning of your career? | | A: | IT'S NOT ABOUT THE MONEY!! EVER!!! |
| Q: | What has been your most memorable theatre experience so far? | | A: | THE NEXT PROJECT AND THE POSSIBILITIES WITHIN. THEY ALL HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL. |
